Houseclub / Uta Plate & Aaike Stuart
Children roam the neighbourhood of Mehringplatz and their school, which is a construction site since 12 years. In doing so, they discover things that only they can see. They bring hidden faces on walls, paths and trees to life and accompany them from then on.
They move on together: what discoveries can they make? What advice can they give each other? And which neighbourhood residents can they ask questions that would otherwise stay unheard?
A miniature city is dreamt up and built piece by piece. On stage, they take the audience on a journey into this new world, where small details become big and wishes come true.
Artistic accomplices from the fields of theatre (Uta Plate), film (Aaike Stuart) and object construction and stage (Sabine Hilscher and Lisa Fütterer) have conducted research with the pupils of the Kurt Schumacher School's 5th grade and are now presenting the interplay of real living spaces and imaginary worlds.
