Oper opfern - zart nach Mozart
They were once young, beautiful, charming and wise: the three boys from Mozart's Magic Flute. Unfortunately, the opera stinks of eternal oppression. The magic has gone down the drain.
But do not tremble, Die Schlangenknaben come to the rescue. We let our bells ring, shout in hell's throat and strip in the holy halls. We are not destined to suffer, refuse to manly triumph. Have stolen the secret wisdom and initiate all. From the elite power of high culture down into the subterranean - we rub against flutes, poles and structures.
Singing, dancing, conjuring, we bite through clogged entrances and ennoble the master's work. Are you ready for the opera glitter bang?
Die Schlangenknaben Maurice (Carla Wierer), Henry (Jakob*), and Amadeus (Viola Schmitzer) are a synthesis of music, discourse and costume. The three Berliners appropriate male-dominated cultural history and ride on it with relish.
