Anton Bruckner's Fourth Symphony, the 'Romantic', did not describe nature romanticism in the classical sense - but the romantic image of the urban Middle Ages.


Clara Schumann sketched her piano concerto at the age of 14 - two years later she performed it, a true masterpiece for pianists: Full of great leaps and fast runs, it is an unusually tricky work to interpret - then as now.
