The C. Ph. E. Bach Music High School in Berlin is one of the leading institutions in Europe when it comes to promoting young musical talent and preparing them for music studies at a professional level. Musical lessons are offered by teachers from the Hanns Eisler University of Music and the Berlin University of the Arts. Numerous well-known soloists and members of chamber and symphony orchestras received crucial impulses for their professional careers here during their childhood and youth. 160 students are currently being trained at this school.

A significant project at the Bach-Gymnasium is the Eastgate Youth Orchestra, which was founded in 2022. This orchestra is the result of many years of collaboration with special music schools in Poznań (Poland) and Lviv (Ukraine). It is characterized by making music together, developing sophisticated music literature, getting to know different cultures and ways of life, intensively examining the history of Poland, Ukraine and Germany, and enjoying shared activities. In 2023, 29 talented young musicians from these three special schools will come together for an intensive rehearsal phase at Morawa Castle in Poland. There they prepare an exciting and varied concert program under the direction of the Polish conductor Remigiusz Skorwider, supported by their teachers.
