In the foyer of the Museum Ephraim-Palais, the Berlin City Museum displays special objects from its collections on a monthly rotating basis. Our current object of the month is a medieval "maniple" – a type of decorative ribbon worn only on special occasions, often carefully crafted using the ancient art of tablet weaving.
Inspired by the historical object and with expert guidance, you will creatively handcraft your own small decorative ribbon from jersey yarn in bright colors. You are welcome to take it home as a keychain, bookmark, or special gift for a loved one.
