Garbage collection campaign after the long summer vacation of Spandau Arcaden and district
On August 28, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., employees of the Spandau Arcaden, together with the district mayor Frank Bewig, the team from the green space office and district councilor Thorsten Schatz, will free playgrounds in the old town of Spandau from garbage and waste.
Equipped with gloves, rubbish grabbers and rubbish bags, the Spandau Arcaden team members make their way to several playgrounds on August 28, 2023 at 9 a.m., starting with the basketball court opposite the town hall.
The plan envisages a tour of four playgrounds, where the goal is to collect as much rubbish as possible from bushes, hedges and sandpits and dispose of it properly within two hours.
Anyone interested in helping out is welcome to join the Spandau Arcaden cleanup team.
In addition, snacks and refreshing drinks are provided for the volunteers.
The meeting point for the action at the first playground, the basketball court, is at Altstädter Ring 3, 13597 Berlin (at the bus stop).
