Innovative ideas and practical approaches for circular business have been found in the cultural and creative industries for years, for example in product and material design, the film and event industry, and the fashion market.
Three areas will be the focus of the congress:
- How circular is the cultural and creative industries?
- The cultural and creative industries as a test laboratory
- How can the creative impact of the cultural and creative industries be better utilized for the national circular economy strategy?
With its creative impact, the cultural and creative industries are also providing relevant impetus here as thought leaders that offer added value across all sectors. On the other hand, there is a need for action in the sector itself in order to be able to make a greater contribution to achieving the climate targets set by the German government. Michael Kellner, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection and contact person for the cultural and creative industries, will be present at the congress as a representative at the political level.
