Israeli choral music and works for the synagogue liturgy

In addition to Israeli choral music, the Shalom Choir's repertoire also includes works for the synagogue's liturgy. This music, composed by Jewish cantors in the second half of the 19th century, almost completely disappeared from Germany with National Socialism. Since the early 1990s, however, the music of Louis Lewandowski, Salomon Sulzer and Salomon Naumbourg and others has been heard again - in Berlin synagogues and in concerts by the Shalom Choir Berlin.
