Perfect interplay of music and architecture: In György Ligeti's choral work Lux aeterna, a soft, sensual sound emerges virtually out of nowhere, developing a mystical, floating pull. It corresponds perfectly with the mysterious atmosphere created by the bluish twilight inside the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.
The piece places the highest vocal demands on the performers, ideal therefore for such an excellent vocal ensemble as the Rias Kammerchor Berlin, which can also be heard in this concert with works by Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály.
Participants: RIAS Chamber Choir Berlin, Sigvards Klava (conductor)
Works by György Ligeti (Lux aeterna) as well as by Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály.
Admission: from 20,-
