Literature LIVE book premiere

Everyone wants to be: free! So it's good that freedom is anchored in the Basic Law. But people mean very different things by it. The same word, fervently shouted from different throats: by representatives of all parties, by demonstrators of all opinions, by many people with very different goals.

Do they have the “freedom to be free” (Hannah Arendt)? What does freedom really mean for the individual? And what conclusions can be drawn from this for society?

Twenty authors search for clues in their own lives and provide enlightening and surprising insights into central aspects such as consumption, the body, populism, work, class, literature and love.

With texts by Deniz Utlu, Şeyda Kurt, Sven Pfizenmaier, Alexandra Stanić, Jayrôme C. Robinet, Franziska Gänsler, Ninia LaGrande, Marlene Engelhorn, Luna Al-Mousli, Anna Kim, Linus Giese, Sophia Süßmilch, Madita Oeming, Çiğdem Akyol, Elisabeth Wellershaus, Caroline Kraft, Franziska Hauser, Markus Liske, Barbara Blaha and illustrations by Nikolaus Mahler
