Connected. Why True Connection Must Not Be Lost
We are spending more time alone than ever before, with alarming consequences for our mental health and our social lives. We have lost our genuine connection to others—through our immersion in digital worlds, through a lack of communication, and through the fast pace of everyday life.
Alev Doğan sets out in search of this feeling. In an insightful and thought-provoking way, she explores literature, psychology, politics, and history, making clear why connection is so important for our happiness, our relationships, and the communities in which we live. Whether we ultimately rediscover it depends on us—Alev Doğan’s book serves as an inspiring guide and companion on this journey.
Alev Doğan, born in 1989, is deputy editor-in-chief at The Pioneer. She is responsible for the podcast “Der 8. Tag” and covers a diverse range of topics in her articles.
