From the 3,000-year history of Ancient Egypt, a variety of texts and images have been preserved that reflect ideas of life after death: from the pyramid texts of the Old Kingdom to books of the dead to ritual texts from the Osiris cult.In the lecture series, insights into these different text and image sources will be provided using numerous examples and current research questions will be presented.
