Tastführung im Weltstudio der BERLIN GLOBAL Ausstellung
Accompanied by experienced cultural mediators, blind, visually impaired and sighted visitors discover the Berlin exhibition in a unique way. The tour combines auditory, tactile and visual approaches, enabling a shared exhibition experience for people with and without visual impairments.
The focus is on detailed descriptions of the themed rooms, installations and selected exhibits. Participants can engage closely with the exhibits. Where necessary, individual objects are additionally illuminated to aid perception.
Some exhibits are particularly impressive when explored by touch: these include, amongst others, a historic telecommunications speaker, the original steel door of the former techno club Tresor, and the metal figure of a Red Sailor. Supplementary replicas, tactile material samples and audio stations convey further stories and background information. Ample time is set aside for exploration and shared discussion.
The dialogue between blind, visually impaired and sighted people opens up new perspectives on the exhibition. Different ways of perceiving the exhibits complement one another and make the visit an enriching experience for everyone involved.

Accessibility
The Humboldt Forum and all exhibition rooms can be reached barrier-free with a wheelchair. A tactile floor guidance system facilitates orientation for blind and visually impaired visitors. Educational formats are tailored to the different needs of visitors with disabilities. These include tactile tours, guided tours and workshops.
