Arabic Music meets Club Sound

The Parisian electronic music collective Acid Arab has made a name for itself on the European festival and club scene in recent years with its beguiling mix of electronic music and Arabic sounds and vocals.

Program

  • 19:00 Senu + Slimgirl Fat
  • 19:45 Perera Elsewhere
  • 20:30 Acid Arab
Acid Arab was founded in 2012 by Parisian DJs Guido Minisky and Hervé Carvalho. The finishing touches to their sound came from working with musicians from across North Africa and the Middle East. Born in the transcultural melting pot of Paris, their plan was to create a place for Arabic culture in contemporary electronic music.

Acid Arab didn't travel abroad to find inspiration for their music. They found this on the spot in Paris, embedded in the country's soil and history. Musically, Acid Arab's radical electronic sounds come from a wide range of subgenres such as house, disco and trap.

The event is part of the Kultursommerfestival Berlin 2023 and takes place in cooperation with Kulturprojekte Berlin.
