25th anniversary of the opening of the Centrum Judaicum
The New Synagogue Berlin - Centrum Judaicum is a museum on the history and present of Jewish Berlin on the authentic site of what was once Germany's largest synagogue, one of the most important historical archives on German Jewry and an iconic landmark for Jewish life in Germany. For exactly 25 years, the Museum of the New Synagogue Berlin has welcomed visitors from all over the world.
On the evening of May 7, 1995, the ceremonial opening of the building and its permanent exhibition "Open the Gates" took place. Some of these more than 25 years are shown online in the series 25 Years Museum New Synagogue Berlin - Centrum Judaicum in 25 Posts. The digital flashback includes various video and text contributions with retrospectives and outlooks as well as greetings.
