The programme includes films about Banksy, Ben Wagin, Harald Naegli and Klaus Paier, as well as classics such as ‘Wholetrain’ – shown in a 4K remastered version to mark its 20th anniversary!
Filmmakers and other guests will be in attendance. As part of the series, Ulrich Blanché will also be presenting the first biography of Banksy.
In keeping with the theme, we’re also turning the streets into a gallery as part of our promotional campaign: alongside a six-part poster series, there’s a poster for the series designed by Epidemie der Künste (EDK). Both will soon be brightening up the cityscape.
The series kicks off on 31 October at 7.00 pm with the film *Art War*, which explores the emergence of graffiti, street art and music as means of political expression following the fall of Mubarak in Egypt and during the Arab Spring.
The director, Marco Wilms, will be present for a discussion.
