This year, a new winter market on the grounds of the former Tegel Airport invites you to get into the Christmas spirit. Enjoy a mulled wine with a view of the tarmac and the 70s architecture of the iconic airport building.
On the first weekend of Advent, the Khisdapaze collective will bring Christmas flair to the outdoor area around the catering building directly next to the old freight canteen of the former airport. Between atmospheric music, steaming mulled wine and creative market stalls, visitors can start the cold season in a relaxed atmosphere - ideal for discovering new things, enjoying themselves and coming together in community.
Varied programme
The winter market at the Alte Frachtkantine offers a varied programme over two days: mulled wine and non-alcoholic hot drinks ensure a cosy atmosphere, while lovingly decorated stalls offer handmade products, gift ideas and handicrafts. Whether it's home-knitted scarves, pottery or freshly baked waffles - there's something for every taste.
The festive setting is accompanied by live music, small shows and an entertaining programme for all age groups. Responsible for the concept is the Berlin collective Khisdapaze, which already filled the so-called model area TXL with life in the warmer months with music and DJ sets. The winter market is also characterised by openness and inclusion. Everyone is welcome - regardless of budget, as admission is on a donation basis.
Young Berliners, families and creative enthusiasts in particular will feel at home at this winter market against an unusual backdrop. Where else but in Berlin can you enjoy a mulled wine with a view of the former tarmac?

Combine your visit with a walk around the former Tegel Airport site, which is currently being transformed into the "Urban Tech Republic" innovation centre. Nearby, it's also worth taking a winter walk around the lakeside promenade of Lake Tegel or a trip to the gigantic murals at Artpark Tegel.

We recommend travelling by public transport. The nearest stations are:
