Thrills rather than tranquillity: the Lichtenberg Winter Festival on Landsberger Allee is great fun for the whole family, with plenty of carousels and fairground rides. Colourful lights twinkle here, shouts of delight and squeals fill the air, and there’s a lively, exuberant atmosphere.
Even from a distance, you can see the glittering lights of the Winterzauber’s fairground rides. This winter market and funfair on Landsberger Allee entices visitors with plenty of festive and cheerful attractions and stalls. The fairground rides promise adventure and thrills for all ages:
With around 80 rides and attractions, the Lichtenberg Winter Festival offers entertainment for young and old alike. Enjoy the view from a height of 45 metres on the illuminated ‘Azure Circle’ Ferris wheel, or experience a special adrenaline rush on the 85-metre-high ‘Lion Tower’ free-fall tower. Things get spooky in the three-storey ‘Geisterpalast’, whilst the nostalgic multi-level carousel ‘Etagenzauber’ and numerous children’s carousels are sure to delight families in particular.
There’s plenty of culinary variety on offer too: a diverse range of international dining options invites you to feast. In the new two-storey bar ‘The Clock’, you can take a break from the hustle and bustle whilst enjoying cocktails and winter drinks.
Celebrate together and do some good in 2026
Lichtenberg’s Winterzeit is not only a paradise for fairground enthusiasts, but also a place for people to come together. Every Wednesday, Family Day attracts visitors with discounted prices, whilst on Thursdays the after-work programme invites you to round off the day together. A special highlight is the new Winterzeit Challenge: for eight weeks, schools, clubs and social organisations from Lichtenberg will take on creative group challenges for a good cause. At the grand finale on 22 December, donations will be awarded to selected organisations.
With accessible pathways and free entry, the Winterzeit aims to make winter fun accessible to as many people as possible. Whether it’s families with children, groups of friends or couples looking to enjoy an entertaining evening – everyone who loves the lively fairground atmosphere is sure to find something to their liking here.

Our tips for your visit to the Christmas fair
Wednesdays are always Children’s and Family Days, when tickets for the rides are cheaper. The Christmas market’s mascot, the glowing star, can also be spotted on Family Day, as well as on St Nicholas’ Day, on the Sundays in Advent, and on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. On 6 December (St Nicholas’ Day) and on the Sundays in Advent, Father Christmas also drops by.

- 31 October: Grand opening with fireworks and District Mayor Martin Schaefer
- Every Thursday: After-work event, 6–8 pm + during this time: 2-for-1 mulled wine offer
- From 3 November: Lichtenberg Winter Season Challenge – eight weeks, eight challenges, every Tuesday at 6 pm in front of the Ferris wheel, in aid of social organisations in Lichtenberg
- 19 November: ENERGY After-Work with an ENERGY DJ
- 3 December: Handicap Day – an exclusive morning for around 2,500 people with disabilities and their carers
- 22 December, 7 pm: Grand finale of the Wintertime Challenge in front of the Ferris wheel
