Lichtenberger Winterzeit
Christmas Market in Berlin from 1 November to 28 December 2025
Thrills instead of contemplation: the Christmas Market Landsberger Allee is great fun for the whole family with a number of carousels and rides. With colourful flashing lights, the air is filled with screeching and shouting and the atmosphere is high-spirited.
You can see the glittering lights of the Winterzauber rides from afar. This winter market and funfair on Landsberger Allee attracts visitors with its many festive and colourful attractions and stalls. Rides for all ages promise adventure and thrills:
From the 85 metre high chain flyer "The Sky's No Limit" (premiere in Berlin) to the Chaos Pendulum, the family-friendly Super Mouse, the world's largest transportable ghost train, fast-paced fun in the High Explosive roller coaster and the world's largest transportable Ferris wheel.
In the Ferris wheel, you sit in closed - and barrier-free - gondolas in the dry and have a wonderful view over the festival grounds from a height of 55 metres. A ride on the nostalgia carousel is particularly nice for Christmas photos. Of course, your physical well-being is also catered for. Whether savoury or sweet, you are sure to find the perfect treat for you and your loved ones at the numerous stalls. A visit to the Lichtenberg Christmas carnival will make the wait for Christmas fly by.
A carnival with a long tradition
The Christmas carnival on Landsberger Allee has a long tradition. As the successor to the popular Wintertraum at Alexa , it is one of the oldest Christmas markets with fairground rides in East Berlin. The tradition of the Christmas market with fairground rides goes back a hundred years . The oldest one was held in the 1920s at Berlin Cathedral with various rides. Later, the showmen set up their stalls at Jannowitzbrücke, Schlossplatz and Platz der Vereinten Nationen.
It all began in 1920 at the Lustgarten in Mitte, where there was already a wooden carousel and a wooden rollercoaster. After several stops at Schlossplatz, Alexanderplatz, the Planetarium, Platz der Vereinten Nationen and Alexa, the market has now moved to Landsberger Allee.
