UpCandle was founded in 2018 with the aim of creating an alternative to conventional scented candles. What began in a converted workshop in Brandenburg has now led to the company’s own Berlin workshop, where the candles are hand-poured. Each candle forms part of the aromatherapy concept that UpCandle follows. Whether for happiness, relaxation, focus or energy – UpCandle has the perfect candle for every occasion.
Instead of paraffin and artificial fragrances, UpCandle uses only ingredients such as rapeseed wax. Wooden wicks create a gentle crackling sound and ensure that these timelessly designed candles are a guaranteed source of cosiness. Initially, the candle jars were made by upcycling cut-off wine bottles. This approach is also what gave the brand its name.
Julian and Seda are the heart of UpCandle. Whilst Julian refines the products with an eye for detail, Seda forges connections that help the brand grow and spread its message. This collaboration makes UpCandle more than just a manufacturer – it is a labour of love that brings people and ideas together.
At UpCandle’s candle-making workshops , you can also try your hand at making candles using rapeseed wax and aromatic oils.
