Ökomarkt am Kollwitzplatz

Fresh on the stall

Every Thursday at the organic market on Kollwitzplatz, an average of 40 traders sell their organically grown produce in a family-friendly atmosphere. The diverse range of products on offer extends from cheese, meat and eggs from the state of Brandenburg, and Demeter-certified bread, to hearty lunches and fresh fruit and vegetables harvested by the farmers that very morning. Alongside all these delicacies, visitors can also find natural cosmetics, textiles, accessories and beautiful handcrafted items.

30 years of tradition: the grand anniversary programme

In 2026, the Kollwitzplatz Organic Market will celebrate its 30th anniversary. As East Berlin’s oldest organic market, it has been an integral part of neighbourhood and cultural life in Prenzlauer Berg for three decades and is still largely organised by volunteers. This special anniversary will be celebrated in style from May to October:

Every Thursday from 12:00 to 19:00, visitors can look forward to a colourful anniversary programme right on the square. Alongside numerous guests and projects from the neighbourhood and across Berlin, small concerts, neighbourhood initiatives, hands-on activities and many more surprises will enrich the market’s programme.
