After 1933, Prague became a refuge for thousands of Germans fleeing Nazi persecution. Drawing on forty personal accounts, former ARD correspondent Peter Lange paints a multi-layered picture of German exile in the Czechoslovak capital.
He recounts stories of flight, new encounters and networks, of self-assertion, solidarity and resistance in a foreign land.
