Poetry and music about peace, war and Berlin

Karl-Heinz Barthelmeus is an actor, director, producer and poet. His writings explore love, religion and his home city of Berlin, but also, time and again, the horrors of war and the struggle for peace, collective memory, guilt, the continuity of history, and the connection between the past and the present.

This evening, hosted by Judith Kessler, he will be reading poems from his latest collection, *augen blicken vertrauen schenken*, for you. The brilliant composer and jazz pianist Albrecht Gündel-vom Hofe will be improvising on the piano to accompany the readings.
