THE DAMES are two trans sisters from Berlin who blend live music, contemporary cabaret, performance and autobiographical storytelling into something entirely their own. Accompanied by piano and their own singing, they explore identity, change, chosen family and collective strength: with humour and vulnerability, with extravagance and a poetic perspective. In doing so, they do not make gender the subject of a debate, but draw on lived experience and transform personal stories into reflections on change, belonging and freedom.
