USA 1967, directed by Mel Brooks

Broadway producer Max Bialystock’s (Zero Mostel) most recent productions have all been flops, and Max is practically on the brink of ruin. But then his accountant Leo (Gene Wilder) comes up with a brilliant idea: if the next play flops as well, Max could pocket all the investors’ money.

The play *Springtime for Hitler* seems to be the perfect fit for the plan. The two agree that a musical revue about Hitler could never be a real hit with the public.

A hilarious, irreverent satire on Broadway entertainment.
