On the night of 19 February 2020, a racist shot dead nine young people in Hanau: Gökhan Gültekin, Sedat Gürbüz, Said Nesar Hashemi, Mercedes Kierpacz, Hamza Kurtović, Vili Viorel Păun, Fatih Saraçoğlu, Ferhat Unvar and Kaloyan Velkov.
Left behind are grieving families and survivors fighting for truth and justice. For four years, director Marcin Wierzchowski has documented their tireless resistance against being forgotten – and poses the question that is once again pressing: Who belongs in Germany and who does not?
The film will be followed by a discussion with the director.
