Clear the stage for the book! The Kunstbibliothek’s ‘Buchsalon’ series of events is all about books. Maren Wienigk, curator of the Architecture and Ornament Collection, and Michael Lailach, curator of the Book Art Collection, will be talking to their guests about new and old books.


Twelfth guest: Günter Karl Bose is a designer, author and collector. From 1980 to 1995 he was a publisher in Berlin (Brinkmann & Bose); from 1993 to 2018 he was Professor of Typography at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, where he headed the Institute for Book Art, founded in 1955. He is the author of numerous publications on the history of literature and the media. They will be talking to him about his time as a university lecturer, about special book projects undertaken by students, and about the Institute for Book Art.
