This immediacy also characterises the quartet’s concerts. With a willingness to take risks and a playful spirit, Tobias Delius, Jasper Stadhouders, Antonio Borghini and Christian Marien create a space where anything can happen – including mistakes and imperfection. Their music navigates the tension between structure and freedom, abstraction and swing, chaos and tranquillity. Their skill is also evident in their ability to let go and trust the moment. The music emerges precisely where it cannot be held onto: beyond the fingertips.

Does the world seem a little stranger to you with every passing day? WOBBLE8 take you on a sonic exploration of the grand models with which humanity has, since time immemorial, sought to explain this strange world.
Bandleader Valentin Schuster (drums) has gathered Sofia Salvo (baritone saxophone), Sebastian Pfeifer (synthesiser, cursed cymbal) and Dan Peter Sundland (bass VI, vocals) around him for this. Together, they create an experimental genre of electrified darkness: a sombre, melancholic blend of wobbly patterns and haunting melodies that pull against one another – as if being spaghettified by a black hole.
Analogue and digital sounds collide; raw textures meet fragile structures. A collage as idiosyncratic and enigmatic as the cover of their debut album ‘The Moon is not there when nobody looks’: rusty metal meets antique parchment.
WOBBLE8 make music for a world that isn’t so easy to explain.
