The Linden Roll
A stroll along the famous boulevard, visiting places associated with Mendelssohn, with commentary by Heinrich Heine. With Dorothee Nolte.
In one of his “Letters from Berlin”, Heinrich Heine gives an amusing and sharp-tongued account of the goings-on on Unter den Linden: with the “Lindenrolle” of 1820 and his text, the grand boulevard can be experienced just as it appeared to strollers and the Mendelssohn family in the early 19th century.
