The world is burning and you're scared of being loved

SENSUALITY IS THE ALCHEMY OF ANGELS

This final-year project is an interdisciplinary dance performance that explores queer femininity as a space of resistance, spirituality and embodied knowledge.

Three queer FLINTA* bodies follow Mary Magdalene’s whispers and find sensuality and connection in the truest sense: experiencing spirituality through their senses.

This work stems from the need to create spaces capable of holding the complexity and chaos of the human condition. Within this microcosm, they allow their bodies to communicate autonomously. They process their experiences, remain open and allow themselves to be seen in these processes. They celebrate romantic friendship and cultivate a sensuality that reminds them to cherish – and even enjoy – their emotions. They are post-cringe and encourage both dancers and spectators to feel deeply and intensely.
