Kabaret Kalashnikov

A night in the small town of Hoodlivnitz, somewhere far, far to the east. This is the place where people dance the tango and the polka, where they fight and fall in love, and where the night lasts as long as there’s vodka. And there’s vodka. Always!

And what else? Extraordinary acrobatics collide with a freak show; Berlin-style cheekiness locks lips with British humour; contortion and improvisation get tangled up in all sorts of ways.

The audience is swept away by exhilarating artistry and vibrant Balkan beats. A fantastic mix, a wild spectacle that leaves no eye dry and no throat unmoistened.

Kabaret Kalashnikov was founded in 2010 and has developed nine shows to date. Following initial light-hearted productions, which were performed for just one weekend in Berlin, the story, dramaturgy and acting have become increasingly refined.

The ensemble consists of six performers who have mastered a wide variety of disciplines: contortion, hula hooping, handstand acrobatics, partner juggling and juggling with balls and clubs, freak show acts, diabolo, the Chinese pole and live music.
