The Italian writer and director Pier Paolo Pasolini (1922–1975) believed that Saint Paul is here amongst us today and that his conversion – from persecutor of the faith to its herald – is still taking place.

He was working on a screenplay in which the Acts of the Apostles begins in the Nazi era and extends into his own time in post-war Europe.
However, he never managed to complete his screenplay. He was murdered in circumstances that remain unexplained to this day.
But can we seriously believe that he was not murdered by fascists? And what if Pasolini’s murderers were to return to power today?
The ensemble – led by director David Stöhr and dramaturg Dirk Brauner – explores, through a blend of theatre, dance, video and sound art, what a Pauline conversion might look like today in the face of resurgent fascism.
