Women, Resistance, and Memory from a Transnational Perspective
In three panel discussions, female historians, curators, and artists—including Dr. Iwona Dadej, Susanne Schade, Dr. Jadwiga Kamola, Karolina Gembara, and Lia Dostlieva—will discuss historical forms of female resistance, contemporary culture of remembrance, and contemporary art as a form of engagement. Following the discussions, the accompanying exhibition *KÄMPFERINNEN* – Polish Women in the Resistance by Anna Krenz will open at 7:00 p.m.
The conference is part of the anniversary program “Between Berlin and Warsaw – 35 Years of Neighborhood,” coordinated by the German Poland Institute and funded by the German Class Lottery Foundation Berlin. The Pilecki Institute Berlin is a partner.
