PETRI Berlin and the Archaeological Windows at Petriplatz

Archaeological sites serve as hubs where many strands of history converge. Descend to the excavations at Petriplatz and discover what the findings reveal about the city and its origins.

Gain insights into areas that are normally off-limits. At PETRI, you’ll encounter the oldest traces of the city’s history. From the loggia, we’ll look out over the modern city and explore where medieval Berlin is still visible.

Note: The guided tours “Archaeological Windows at Petriplatz” and “Latin School and St. Peter’s Church(es)” are not suitable for wheelchair users. These tours involve entering former excavation sites that are not wheelchair-accessible.
