Soap&Skin
Austrian artist Anja Plaschg, known as Soap&Skin, is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary European music. As a musician, composer, and producer, she is known for a body of work characterized by extraordinary originality, intensity, and artistic consistency.
With her albums “Lovetune for Vacuum” (2009), “Narrow” (2012), “From Gas to Solid / You Are My Friend” (2018), and most recently “TORSO” (2024), she has created a distinctive universe that bridges pop, chamber music, and the avant-garde—one that defies any clear-cut genre classification.
In addition to her musical work, she is also active as an actress and as a composer for film and theater.
In 2026, Soap&Skin will celebrate its 20th anniversary on stage.
To mark the occasion, she is returning to the stage for the first time in 14 years with a series of select, intimate duo concerts—together with her sister, visual artist Evelyn Plaschg, who has been a visual collaborator since Soap&Skin’s early years and has also been part of her live performances as a backing vocalist.
