Howool Baek & Matthias Erian

Depression creeps in quietly. It alters the body, confuses the senses, and ultimately distorts one’s perception of the world.

“Distorted Body” makes the sensory landscape—transformed by the cognitive distortions of depression—tangible through movement, spatial sound, and light.

The work does not claim to explain or dramatize depression. Rather, it invites viewers to reflect on an inner landscape that many of us have already traversed or may be navigating right now. By tracing the fractured and distorted perceptions that this society produces, it quietly asks: Are you okay?
