New Perspectives and Outlooks

The Westhafen opened in 1923 as a technically sophisticated inland port of major importance. It is connected to the Spree and Havel rivers via canals and enjoys a prime location. For over 100 years, the Westhafen has played a vital role in the city’s supply and waste management.

On this walking tour, you’ll explore the secrets of the harbor as you wander among historic buildings and the modern logistics center. To conclude the tour, you’ll climb the more than 250 steps to the tower in the administration building, where a spectacular view of the Westhafen and its surroundings awaits you.

This event is part of the Berlin Industrial Heritage Festival.
