Special Tour: Krumpuhler Weg Historic Site

From 1942 to 1945, a Nazi forced-labor camp with 1,500 inmates was located on this site in Tegel Süd. A subsidiary of the locomotive company Borsig operated this camp, which was one of the largest in Berlin. Buildings from the camp era have been preserved to this day at the Krumpuhler Weg Historical Site.

During a special guided tour and discussion session in the memorial room, the history of the forced-labor camp is recounted using archaeological artifacts. To this day, all the historical layers dating back to 1942 are visible. In addition to the history of the site, you will also learn more about the site’s subsequent use as a gardening school.

This event is part of the Berlin Industrial Heritage Festival.
