Wild Herb Tour with Ackerpause
Join us on the Wild Herb Tour for an exciting journey through nature and history. One hundred years ago, the Schultheiss Brewery’s malting plant in Tempelhof began operations. There, on several floors, barley grains were processed into malt for beer production.

Today, the malt factory is a unique industrial landmark committed to sustainability. It offers the perfect setting to discover the diversity and power of local wild herbs.
The tour takes you through the malt field and provides insights into the educational work of Acker e.V. Along the way, you’ll receive practical tips on organic vegetable gardening in the city. At the end, you’ll sample a wild herb snack.
The tour is part of the Berlin Industrial Culture Festival.
- The guided tour on September 18, 2026, will be conducted in English; the tours on September 15, 18, and 22, 2026, will be conducted in German.

The Berlin Industrial Culture Festival offers you the chance to discover the city from a new perspective. Around 100 events from September 12 to October 4 bring the visible and invisible legacy of industrialization to life.
