concert with Wioletta Hebrowska
This time, the focus is on an even broader spectrum of Brâncuși’s friendships. The program centers on “Socrate,” a rarely performed work by Erik Satie. The libretto is based on Platonic dialogues, which were of great significance to both artists. A few years after the work’s premiere, Brâncuși even created a sculpture titled “Socrate” (1922), which is now housed at MoMA in New York City.
