Houseclub / Paula Vidal

As part of “Berlin Bleibt! #5,” the elective art class at Fritz-Karsen-Schule is collaborating with artist Paula Vidal on a project about public space.

The starting point is not an abstract urban theory, but concrete questions: What truly belongs to us? Where can we stay without having to consume? Which places feel open to us, and which ones exclude us, visibly or invisibly?

Through neighborhood walks, mapping, and performative experiments, the students explore everyday spaces: squares, paths, crossings, and the rules that apply there. In temporary interventions, they test new possibilities for coexistence and participatory decision-making.

The result is an installation-based performance in front of HAU2 that makes urban space visible as a place of encounter and negotiation.
