Literary City Walk with Michael Bienert
Since 1750, Lessing has enlivened Berlin’s literary pages as a journalist. With *Minna von Barnhelm*, he wrote a timeless piece about a city scarred by the Seven Years’ War.
Berlin dedicated its first literary museum and literary center to the poet and friend of the Jewish philosopher Moses Mendelssohn. Currently, the “House of One,” a sacred building, is being constructed in Mitte to carry the humanitarian message of Lessing’s drama “Nathan the Wise” into the future.
At the end of the walk, you will visit the Nicolaihaus, one of the centers of the Berlin Enlightenment.
