A ritual of dance, song, live music and poetic monologues.

Encountering death in the body of your spiritual twin and life partner, creates an extended experience of GRIEF. Life changes forever, your soul and body change forever. Forever you become a site of GRIEF. Your body and your dance become a live ritual of GRIEF.

However GRIEF also includes the celebration of life, the cherishing of the common memories, and the passion to extend the unbeatable love.

GRIEF is a performative ritual that fuses the personal experience of choreographer/performer Nora Amin, with her recently acquired expertise as a GRIEF coach.

In GRIEF, Nora re-enacts parts of her grieving experience while transforming it to a sensational dance of the victory of love and belonging. Guided by spiritual faith, and cultural heritage, she unites with the world renowned musician Momo Djender, with whom she shares roots in the Arab region.

While both artists originally belong to a rich tradition of grief, lamentation, wailing and mourning, between Egypt and Algeria, both invest in their multi-cultural and nomadic background, to create a contemporary ritual where GRIEF is experienced collectively, and embraced in a participatory way with the spectators.
