This year's summer festival will celebrate migrant and queer stories, voices, artists and sounds in the courtyard of the FHXB Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Museum. With readings, performances, concerts and guided tours by Rosa Shakur, Tres Patos, Anna Schapiro, Vanessa Opoku, Denise Garcia Bergt from International Women* Space and other guests.
On this day we celebrate migrant, Jewish and queer history(s), voices, artists* and sounds in the courtyard of the FHXB Museum.
Throughout its existence, Jews, migrants and queer people have been a fundamental part of the neighborhood. Their stories sometimes ran parallel to each other, but often there were moments of coming together.
The museum wants to make these visible together with the people who live in Kreuzberg today as Jews, migrants and queer people.
The museum wants to create access to the history of the city for everyone living in Berlin, to inform and to imagine new, common futures together.
With readings, performances, concerts and guided tours by Rosa Shakur, Tres Patos, Anna Schapiro, Vanessa Opoku, Denise Garcia Bergt from International Women* Space and other guests.
- The festival is free and takes place as part of the Berlin 2023 Cultural Summer Festival.
