Gestrandet an der Jannowitzbrücke

Holiday feeling on the River Spree

Colourful lanterns, fine sand underfoot and the Spree right in front of you: Gestrandet at Jannowitzbrücke brings beach vibes to Berlin. A mixture of beach bar and beer garden, it has taken the hearts of Berlin's sun worshippers by storm. In addition to delicious drinks and international cuisine, DJ sets, dance evenings and other summer events take place here regularly.

Summer garden on the Berlin Riviera

Gestrandet at Jannowitzbrücke is an atmospheric mix of beach bar, summer garden and relaxed meeting place with live music. It is now one of the most popular summer destinations in eastern Berlin. When the deckchairs and cushions are spread out on the sand in the early afternoon during the summer months, that holiday feeling is guaranteed. Under palm trees and lanterns, you can expect lots of live acts, open-air events and even the occasional table tennis tournament by the water. Campfires, barbecues and a wide range of culinary delights invite you to enjoy a family day out or an after-work beer. And with so many nightclubs in the vicinity, Gestrandet is the perfect place to get in the mood.

A modern community project with heart

The Gestrandet at the Jannowitzbrücke is not a traditional club with decades of history, but a modern Berlin community project. In recent years, the beach bar has established itself as a fixture for relaxed get-togethers and informal live acts. The name "Gestrandet" fits the programme perfectly: those who come, stay. And those who happen to stumble upon this address have found a real urban treasure!

Our tips

  • Free sunset salsa, open-air ping-pong and more: Gestrandet regularly hosts open-air events during the day or into the early evening, often right by the water.
  • The musical spectrum ranges from house/deep house to disco/retro events (such as the 80s Open Air) on the premises.
  • The view of the Spree, the proximity to the Jannowitzbrücke and the atmospheric riverside atmosphere make the Gestrandet a real eye-catcher, especially in the evening hours.
