Kalle Halle
Food Market & Event Space
Berlin’s newest food market is as inviting as it is stylish. Antique leather sofas, cozy armchairs, and a curated mix of vintage lamps set the scene in the spacious first hall of Kalle Halle, transforming it into an urban meeting point. At its heart, a chic bar leads into a light-filled atrium where visitors can explore a wide variety of culinary delights.
New food market & event space in Neukölln
Where the former Quelle department store and its adjoining car park once stood, a new chapter has begun. The concrete structures from that era have been thoughtfully integrated into today’s architecture, opening into a generous event space. Here you can sip a cozy coffee, enjoy refined dining beneath the glass atrium, or slip into the dive bar later in the evening. The idea for Kalle Halle came from New York architect and urban planner Martin Barry, also known for creating the Manifesto Market at Potsdamer Platz.
Cosmopolitan flair with a local touch
Blending fine dining with street food, style with casual ease, Kalle Halle brings cosmopolitan flair to the heart of Neukölln. Across 2,300 square metres, twelve carefully curated restaurants and two bars invite guests to feast, socialize, and linger. The ground floor of the historic building offers not just gastronomy but also open space for culture, music, and fresh ideas—an urban meeting place for all the senses, where locals and visitors alike come together.
Culinary delights from around the world
Twelve acclaimed Berlin chefs present a rich culinary spectrum at Kalle Halle - ranging from classic burgers and Korean street food to freshly prepared ramen, hand-pulled noodles, hand-rolled sushi, and authentic South Indian specialties.

The Dive Bar and beyond
The Dive Bar is directly adjacent to the food market in the atrium. After passing the pool table, guests step into a light-filled conservatory—a versatile space that provides the perfect backdrop for flea markets, exhibitions, performances, and conferences. From here, the doors lead straight into the Musik Hall, one of Neukölln’s newer live music venu.
A growing urban hub
Kalle Halle is part of the expanding Kalle Neukölln complex. The legendary record store Rough Trade has taken up residence on the ground floor right next door, alongside a large supermarket and Code University. Plans are also underway for a spacious rooftop terrace, promising to add another highlight to this dynamic, urban project full of potential.
