The Playce

Shopping in the heart of the city

The three-storey, glass-roofed shopping arcade at Potsdamer Platz, now known as “The Playce”, invites visitors to enjoy a shopping experience – and boasts modern architecture designed by star architect Renzo Piano.

The Playce: A shopping paradise like no other

The name of the shopping centre, The Playce, is – a play on the English words ‘play’ and ‘place’. Look forward to a ‘shopping paradise of the highest order’: The range on offer extends from supermarkets and chemists for everyday needs to modern retail concepts for technology, sport, fashion and lifestyle. Art installations and events such as readings and live music will make the shopping centre even more attractive.

The mix of fashion boutiques, everyday shopping and themed worlds such as “The Streets” – the hub for streetball, trainers and basketball culture – also attracts a younger demographic. You’ll also find Berlin’s largest arcade and the world of illusions at Upside Down. But bookshops and jewellery shops, Peek & Cloppenburg’s first Sustainable Superstore, and the round-the-clock NieZuSpäti also invite you to enjoy a spot of shopping. Stroll through the spacious arcades, stop for a coffee or meet up here for lunch.
