This title quotes from the "Twelve Articles of the Peasantry" of 1525, the first written catalog of demands for civil liberties in Europe after the English "Magna Carta" of 1215.

It hints at what the uprising known as the "Peasants' War" set in motion 500 years ago – and with reference to the Bible. The peasants' call for freedom, as well as their bloody defeat, had repercussions down to recent history. Perhaps even to the present day?

You will hear from church historian Prof. Dr. Dorothea Wendebourg and engage in conversation about the history and changing reception of this period of upheaval.

The evening dialogue in Berlin Cathedral is free of charge. Registration is requested, as the number of participants is limited.
