To mark its anniversary, the German Cancer Society is hosting an open day at the Medical History Museum in Berlin on 27 September.
There will be numerous free activities on site, such as morning yoga and a science slam.
Programme
9:00-10 a.m.: Yoga in the lecture hall ruins of the Medical History Museum BerlinOur free exercise programme, in cooperation with the Berlin Cancer Society, offers everyone the opportunity to start the day actively, strengthen their bodies and recharge their batteries together. Please bring a sports/yoga mat and comfortable clothing. No previous experience is necessary.

11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Science Slam in the lecture hall ruins of the Medical History Museum
Science meets entertainment at our free Science Slam. The event offers the chance to experience exciting research live and in an entertaining way. Young scientists present their topics in creative ways – and the guests decide who wins the slam!

125 years of first-hand knowledge – the German Cancer Society (DKG)
The German Cancer Society (DKG) – a successor organisation to the ‘Comité für Krebssammelforschung’ (Committee for Cancer Research) founded in 1900 – is the largest scientific oncology association in the German-speaking world. Its approximately 8,300 individual members in 25 working groups, 16 regional cancer societies and 33 supporting members are active in cancer research and treatment. The DKG is committed to cancer care based on evidence-based medicine, interdisciplinarity and consistent quality standards.
