Wednesday is lunchtime concert time at the Berlin Philharmonic – and admission is free. From September to June, music lovers can spontaneously experience a concert in a relaxed atmosphere every Wednesday at 1 p.m. – ideal for a lunch break.
The varied program lasts around 40 to 50 minutes: Whether chamber music, piano works, or unusual ensembles like a percussion duo – everything from Tchaikovsky to tango is represented.
The stage often features members of the Berlin Philharmonic, musicians from the Karajan Academy, or guests from renowned ensembles such as the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester, the Staatskapelle Berlin, or students from Berlin's music academies. Starting at 12 p.m., high-quality and affordable catering is available in the foyer.
